Meet college president "Dr. T"

Seward County Community College welcomed Dr. Kenneth J. Trzaska as its tenth president on August 17, 2015. Board chair Ron Oliver described the rigorous search process that brought Trzaska to Liberal.

"We did a nationwide search that brought many strong applicants to our attention, but he floated to the top," said board chair Ron Oliver. "The board was unanimous. We're very excited to get him here."

Dr. Trzaska came to Seward after serving as Dean of Instruction and Chief Academic Officer at Gogebic Community College, in Ironwood, MI, a community of about 5,500 on the upper peninsula of Michigan. Trzaska, who holds a doctorate degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, also worked at St. Louis Community College and the College of Lake County in the greater Chicago area.
