Certificate in Practical Nursing
Students successfully completing the Practical Nursing program receive a CERTIFICATE in Practical Nursing and become eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN)
Note: Students testing < 100 on the Accuplacer Intermediate Algebra, < 80 on the Accuplacer, or below 18 on the ACT math score must successfully complete Beginning Algebra.
* These courses to be taken concurrently with the Nursing Courses or prior to First Semester.
Students successfully completing the Associate Degree Nursing Program receive an ASSOCIATE IN APPLIED SCIENCE DEGREE and become eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
(Must be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program and successfully have completed general education courses fo the practical nursing program) and successful completion of a national NCLEX predictor exam above the national passing standard)
****This course is required to be taken by the student who has graduated from a practical Nursing program other than SCCC or the student who has graduated from the SCCC program more than two years previously.
***These courses to be taken concurrently with the Nursing courses or prior to First Semester.
**This course is required only for those who achieve a score below 65 on the Kaplan Secure Predictor exam.
*These courses are to be taken concurrently with the nursing courses or prior to Second Semester.
