The Seward County Community College Music Department provides a well-balanced educational experience through classroom communication, ensemble performance, private study and active listening.
Music and non-music majors have the opportunity to participate in all music courses for personal, artistic and intellectual development.
The Music Department offers a variety of courses for both the musician and the music appreciator. Students can receive an Associate in Arts degree with a major in music from SCCC.
After two years, a student will have the necessary background to allow him or her to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete work on a bachelor's degree. With the aid of a faculty advisor, students will select courses to fit the curriculum as established by the transfer school.
