The custodian is responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance, and other miscellaneous duties to ensure that buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe, and sanitary manner.


A high school education or GED, if not complete willing to obtain GED Six months or more of janitorial similar or related experience. Must process and maintain a DL. Experience using floor polishers, waxers, and carper cleaners a plus.

Position can be physically demanding. Individual may be in constant moving such as standing, Walking, bending, and lifting.

Essential Functions

  • Clean and care for buildings and facilities in order to ensure they are maintained in a safe and
  • healthy manner.
  • Maintain storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials, and supplies in a safe and orderly
  • manner in order to ensure the safety of staff and the public.
  • Perform other duties and assists others in the department as assigned.

Salary Range:  $ 11 -- $ 12 hourly

Selection Process
