The adult education instructor will provide instructional modification strategies and team teaching to assist the college career and technical education (CTE) and improve the math, writing English, and reading skills of the students. Adult education instructors will provide tutoring services to students as needed.


High school diploma with experience required. Associate degree or higher preferred. Two to five years of teaching, tutoring, or related experience.

Excellent communicator. Able to implement teaching techniques and deliver basic reading, writing and math plan lessons.

Essential Functions

  • Implementation of math, writing/ English, and reading strategies that will result in increase in the academic ability of CTE students as measured by standardized testing.
  • Strengthen the relationship among adult education instructors and the college Industrial Technology faculty to provide a team-taught approach to assist students.
  • Provide strategies and insight to Industrial Technology faculty to confirm students are capable of college level math, reading, and writing. Strategies will include reviewing educational material, examining grading rubrics for depth and breadth of the assignment, and assisting faculty with development of assignments at the appropriate levels of rigor.

Selection Process
