Responsibilities

Directs institutional assessment process including leading Assessment Committee in planning, implementing, and overseeing assessment plan for the institution. Leads Assessment Committee meetings and Faculty/Staff Assessment Workshops and Professional Development Sessions. Performs analysis of assessment data, shares that analysis with Assessment Committee and directs the sharing of data and gathering feedback from campus groups to use the data to improve student learning. Directs activities of Assessment Committee in collecting and reporting assessment data, ensuring submission and use of data to make improvements. Provides mentoring for faculty and staff in understanding the assessment process and how to develop assessments for program and institutional outcomes. Makes budget requests and oversees budget for the assessment process on campus.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of assessment data analysis and/or academic assessment experience.

Master's Degree in education, business, communication, or similar discipline. Bachelor's degree with extensive experience may be considered in lieu of Master's degree.

Essential Functions

  • Directs all instructional assessment and co-curricular assessment activities as chair of the assessment committee. Chairs regularly scheduled committee meetings; establishes the agenda; arranges for documentation of meetings; reports activities of the committee to administration and the Academic Affairs Council; monitors actions and initiatives of the committee; and ensures alignment of assessment activities within the college's improvement initiatives. Provides assistance for faculty and co-curricular programs in developing student learning assessment plans which align with performance expectations.
  • Performs analysis of all assessment data and provides reports to Assessment Team for review and decision making.
  • Works with the Vice President of Academic Affairs to provide assessment results that can be used for planning and budgeting purposes across campus.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Supports college activities beyond the specific responsibilities of assessment as requested and appropriate for exempt personnel including but not limited to committee participation, professional development activities, and commencement.

 

Salary/Benefits

Competitive salary. Participation in college matching annuity; Part-time SC tuition reimbursement for employee and dependents; participation in social security (FICA) and state retirement programs (KIPPERS), if working more than 20 hour per week.

Salary Range:  Hourly commensurate with education and experience.

Selection Process
