Responsibilities

The instructional designer supports faculty in the successful design and delivery of educational experiences. Course delivery methods include face-to-face, hybrid, online, Blendflex, and competency based education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education Media, Instructional System Design or related field. Master's degree or specialized certification with one year or more of coursework beyond a bachelor's preferred. At least 5 years of teaching experience and demonstrated proficiency in instructional design which should include online delivery or work that demonstrates equivalent experience. Community college teaching and work in developing competency based delivery and assessments is preferred.

Selection Process

The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted.  Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant an interview.  Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the time and place of the interview.  Interviews are usually conducted on campus by the search committee.  Additional interviews and/or teaching demonstrations may be required.
