Responsibilities include preparation, teaching and conducting lecture and laboratory courses as assigned including but not limited to develop syllabi; facilitate student learning in classroom and lab settings, recruit, advise, tutor and evaluate students. The typical teaching load is 30 credit hours per academic year. Classes will include but are not limited to: College Algebra and developmental math courses including Advanced Arithmetic, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and College Algebra. Teaching assignments may include some evenings.
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with 18 graduate hours in same discipline required. Master's degree in Mathematics or related field with 18 graduate hours in discipline preferred. Previous teaching instruction in community college or secondary education preferred.
