Responsibilities
Ensures the safety of patrons of the natatorium (indoor pool) facility by preventing and responding to emergencies. Assists in the operations of the front desk and wellness center while not in the natatorium.
Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age or older. Must know how to swim and have Lifeguarding, CPR, and First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions. Skill in applying of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques. Ability to assist patrons with departmental and administrative paperwork.
Essential Duties
Salary Range: $ 8.00 per hours
Position Status: part-time up to 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday.

Selection Process
The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted. Meeting the minimum qualifications for a position does not assure the applicant an interview. Applicants selected for an interview will be notified of the time and place of the interview. Interviews are usually conducted on campus by the search committee. Additional interviews and/or teaching demonstrations may be required.
